    Instructor: Lana Young

Using scenes and a variety of acting methods, we'll develop our characters by identifying our intentions and objectives ultimately leading us to the truth. We'll practice how to "behave" as the character in an imaginary environment with make believe events. You'll learn how to use your own opinions, attitudes and experiences in the service of your character so that your performances are truthful and connected. Students learn a great deal by watching themselves, therefore, scene work will be filmed for instructional purposes.  Get rid of common habits and mistakes actors make when given a script. You'll learn mindfulness, how to relinquish control, collaboration and enhance listening skills. This is a safe environment for bravery and exploration. It is open to people who are on a journey of self-discovery AND actors wishing to exercise their acting muscles. This class applies to film and theatre work. The only pre-requisite is that you are human!
